Q-Boro Books, headquartered in Queens, NY, was launched in 2004. And within one year we became one of the nation's fastest growing independent trade publishers of African American fiction. In early 2006 we entered into an imprint deal with Urban Books, a deal which will undoubtedly further our momentum for years to come and allow us to compete on the same level with many of the major publishing houses in the country. Our success can be attributed to our passion, hard work, and diligence to be the best, as well as our niche focus to publishing titles that range in more than one subject matter within the African American genre. The borough of Queens (hence our name Q-Boro) is unique in its urban / suburban diversity and with the books that we publish you will see that same sense of diversity in the mix of stories that reflect the different aspects of the African American lifestyle.
