Dejon was born in California, but raised in Queens, NY, where he started writing short stories for various school newspapers.  Dejon is in the process of producing a documentary film, which is titled Rules Of Engagement For The Inner City . Currently, he is working on two more novels, Ice Cold Vengence (the sequel to Ice Cream For Freaks ) and My Skin Is My Sin (coming in 2007 from Q-Boro).
