Erica Kimberly Barnes was born and raised in Los Angeles California. She has had a love for writing ever since holding her first pen. She realized at a young age she wanted to be an author. At age 15, her family moved to Indiana to be closer to family. A year later, the family relocated to Virginia. Though the move from one side of the nation to the other was difficult to adjust to as a teenager, it only strengthened her love for writing.
During her senior year in high school, Erica wrote 'I Ain't Sayin She's A Gold Digger', not her first novel, but the first one she felt confident enough to submit to a publishing company. She was blessed with her first book deal with Qboro Books soon after.
After graduating from high school, Erica moved back to California to attend California State University Northridge as an English major. The Los Angeles native enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and writing. Her biggest support comes from her family and her boyfriend Thomas.
Erica has completed her next novel, 'Immortal' and is currently working on another. She hopes to continue as a successful author with Qboro Books and further her career as a screenwriter. She is grateful to God for all that He has blessed her with and knows the best is yet to come.
